This is going to be a new feature. In my quest to maintain your level of interest and keep this fresh and interesting I have decided to add a new feature to this blog. At NO EXTRA COST to you dear bloggers. (Although donations of cash are always welcome. As are invitations to dinner, coffee, lunch, breakfast, brunch, doughnuts, pubfare, pizza, or vacations anywhere).
A Slice......... will offer a very brief comment, thought, quote, idea, etc..........sort of like the old 'thought for the day' concept. It may be a quick observation, a brief description of something from my day, an idea, a comment, a joke, or a mathematical equation. .............ha ha on the last one. (Grade four was the last time I was able to help Corey with his math homework. Grade three for helping him and getting the correct answers.)
Here are some of the other names I considered calling this new segment:
Flashes--------------this was discarded because I know that some of you would have assumed I was talking about the other kind of flashes, as in hot flashes. (yes, I am aware of my reader demographics)
Snapshots-----------I knew that my more literal readers would be expecting photos.
Hors-d'-oeuvres---------I thought this might be a cute name signifying that the entry would only be offering a tidbit, not the whole enchilada, so to speak. But I was pretty sure that some of you would be expecting recipes.
Shots----------------Sort of the same idea as Hors d'œuvre but using shots instead of a full glass BUT I figured it make some of you wander off to grab a real shot of something and thus abandon my blog.
Moments----------------This sounds too much like something Celine Dion would sing.
Tidbits------------------ Liked this but figured some of you would be too busy thinking about Timbits and not focusing properly on my fascinating and thought provoking entry.
So I have decided to go with A Slice...............
...although now I am thinking that some of you golfers and pastry bakers might be expecting something other that what I have planned.
Look for A Slice....... to be appearing shortly.

What entertaining anecdotes! Erma Bombeck re-incarnated! Someone had to pick-up from where she left us ... we miss her so! With so many opportunities to poke jest at our lives, its refreshing to encounter another with the same sarcastic take ... and you didn't even change the names for sake of protecting the innocent ... what gusto! Keep 'em coming ... looking forward to a daily "slice" ... and I could easily say "go ahead ... quite your day job!".
I have checked your log throughout the day today in anticipation of your next "slice", how soon is "coming soon?" I'm with "the other ange" you definitely should quit your day job so that you can devote more time to your blog!!!! One has to consider those whose lives are less than "exciting" and who wait in anticipation of your blog.
