And the last item regarding the debate.......

Just had to share this with you; I think carries a lot of truth.

Hi Cathy from Auntie Sherrie.
Just before I left for Ft. Lauderdale, Kate ran out to vote. I naturally assumed she would be gone long enough for me to run a vacuum and have a shower. Not so. Before I had even gone the length of the hall, ok maybe I got that far. Anyway, there she was home again. I thought there had been a problem and she was unable to vote, but. not so again. I don't understand it. Wednesday, i went out to vote early in our elections. I waited (patiently) in the line for an hour and a half before getting into the hall. (Temperatures hovered around 85 F)There they scanned my driver's license to make sure it was really me and passed me off to another party to print out my ballot. All four pages. I was then escorted to another lady who made sure I had all four pages, then I got to wait in line for my shot at the booth. There I studiously coloured in the whole bubble of all my selections on all four pages. The whole process took over 2 hours of my important time.
I think you guys need a better system up there.

Two hours!TWO hours!
Four pages .... are you voting on referendums, motions, or other positions as well?
I would need a washroom close at hand.
I wonder what the voter turn-out is like compared to Canada?

Fantastic to see you here BTW!!!!!

Made my day! (Even more than the Halloween candy I have stashed away and secret access to).

I know where the candy is and I'm going to tell.

Yes, we were voting on just about everything except where to put those toilets you mentioned.

Hahahahaha!

We are now gearing up for our civic elections.
I guess any day we can expect to see a proliferation of signs all about the community. I only look for ones that say 'Coffee' or 'Shoe Sale.'
