??????????????

Okay, the one and only person beside myself, who participated in my last poll, is driving me crazy (well, crazier). Okay; if you don't get your news from the paper, the radio, the tv, or the internet, where the hell are you getting it from????
'Cause Gertie at the grocery store ain't always the best source and the rambling mumbling guy on the corner with the sign saying 'The End is Near' isn't anywhere close to a Tony Parsons or Bill Good.
Or maybe you are just messing with me???? Pulling my leg? Yanking my chain?

No matter. I am just so grateful and delighted that someone, anyone, actually participated in the poll that I am happy. Mystified but happy.

erm ..., lol, I think that was me *blushes*

In answer to your question, your error is in assuming that everyone seeks out news ... most often I do my level best to avoid it, figuring that if it is cataclysmic enough, Cherry will mention it on Coach's Corner and I will be duly informed (and let's face it, those suits will help any kind of news go down smoothly ... what's that? WWIII is starting and I need to find a bomb shelter? Yikes, but dude, I love that floral print suit, Grapes ...).

I go through phases where I do seek out news until such point as I get fed up with both the content and the delivery (seriously, can someone slip some Valium in their water? There is a difference between friendly/engaging and psychotically peppy) and then attempt to become a current events hermit.

And hey, don't knock Gertie ... she just got cable and is remarkably well informed ;-)

Whaatttt??? You weren't watching with baited breath for every mind-numbing detail of 'Storm of the Century?' Never mind that after 10 days of predicting the worse storm EVER to hit the West Coast, in a hysterical feverish pitch that was repeated at noon, at dinner time, and finally at 11:00, it was eventually downgraded to flurries that did not even require one lone snow plough.
Yes, I can see why you would chose to take a pass. And yes I agree that Valium should be part of their hair/make-up routine of the anchors. (Sort of why I love Tony Parsons so much.....he elicits a sense of calm and has a reassuring air about him. Plus something about him reminds me of our Dads...minus the polka-dot tie.).

LOL at your Gertie comment. In fact your comment, your humour, your insight, your observations literally made my day. Love love your comments.
