WARNING: The following may offend some readers........

I want it to snow.

I want it become very cold: so cold that the air itself feels different - - - crisper, fresher, sharper. The kind of cold that slices through; your extremities feeling like lit birthday cake candles. Invigorating, exhilarating - - - the senses stimulated and enlivened.

And then, I want it to snow. Dry huge flakes descending from above. Feathering and then blanketing the earth like icing sugar on a freshly baked cake. Not just a dusting though but rather a luxurious canopy covering trees, shrubs, rooftops and lawns.

I want it to snow.

well...come to calgary, we have snow today(jan 23)...but...before the snow we have had two days of fog, which covered the trees with hoar frost, absolutely beautiful...and yes, the air is crisp, and if you stick out your tongue you can catch the flakes, rather invigorating.....

Ooohhhh, I love days like that. Truly. My spring bulbs are all up in the garden and I love them but NOT in January! I want snowflakes, stinging cold, and WINTER.
This point of view tends to be dangerous so I will stop now. But yes hoar frost is almost heart wrenchingly beautiful.

Make a snowman for me.
